Cercidiphyllum japonicum 'Claim Jumper' Katsura

On 'Claim Jumper', new leaves when opening are pink-tinged, then open to a soft yellow. If the tree is planted in all-day full sun, then the leaves remain yellow or sometimes fade to almost white! If planted in part shade then the leaves will turn green during summer. 

When young, it will not tolerate periods of drought; once it is well-established short periods of drought are okay but not recommended for best appearances. Protect from strong winds and, ideally, the hottest afternoon sun. 

Mature size: 20-30 feet tall & 15-20 feet wide
