Compact Hydrangea paniculata Little Hottie® puts on an impressive and outsize flower show. The 3–5’ shrubs produce a blizzard of greenish blooms that turn creamy white before shading to dusky pink for fall, and they don’t degrade in high temperatures. The large flowers on this little Hydrangea are carried on strong stems, and they show brilliantly against dark green foliage. This is a carefree and generous bloomer for small-scale gardens and for smaller spots in large ones.
Because Paniculata Hydrangeas bloom on new growth, they typically flower normally even if the twigs have been killed back by frost. Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot. Prune in late winter or early spring.
