Kalmia latifolia 'Nathan Hale' Mountain Laurel
Kalmia latifolia 'Nathan Hale' is a densely branched evergreen shrub, named to honor the Connecticut patriot and hero. This Mountain Laurel's red buds open to pale pink flowers enhancing blushing new growth and stems.
It is handsome, offering abundant clusters of cup-shaped blooms above glossy, evergreen foliage. It is durable, shrugging off cold and growing to a ripe old age in well-drained, humus-rich, acid soil. It is pest-resistant and tolerant of a range of light conditions.
