Prunus x incisa x campanulata 'Okame' Cherry Tree

A hybrid of Prunus campanulata and Prunus incisa, Okame cherry transplants easily and grows well in almost any soil. It does prefer protection from hot afternoon or reflected sun.

Its polished reddish brown bark has prominent horizontal lenticels. Blooming earlier than other cherries, its mildly fragrant, 5-petaled, rosy pink flowers may be harmed by a late freeze.
