Styrax japonicus 'Evening Light' Japanese Snowbell
Bloom Time: Early Spring
Broadleaf, deciduous small tree or a shrub, often multi-stemmed, with an upright, oval habit, to 15 ft tall and 10 ft wide. The leaves emerge purple-maroon, becoming maroon-green. The white petals of the typical bell-shaped flowers have maroon sepals. The white flowers contrast nicely with the maroon foliage.
Sun to part shade, best in evenly moist well-drained soil.
